Acefloor 501 – Epoxy floor-Screed

Acefloor 501 – Epoxy floor-Screed is three part, solvent free, low viscosity epoxy screed system

  • For  screeding concrete substrate, cement screeds and epoxy mortars.
  • For normal to strong absorbent substrates.
  • Screed for epoxy flooring systems.
  • Screed layer under epoxy, polyurethane and PMMA floor coating.
  • Leveling or patching horizontal concrete surfaces in new or repair work

  • Low viscosity
  • Better penetration
  • Excellent bond strength
  • Enviro friendly materials used
  • Solvent free system
  • Good pot life and faster curing
  • Easy application
  • Curing at lower temperatures

  • Stir resin Part A and Part B separately and mechanically before mixing.
  • Add hardener Part B to resin Part A as per the stated mixing ratio.
  • Add filler in small batches as per the stated mixing ratio.
  • Mix small quantity to avoid gelling before application.
  • Stir and mix continuously for 2 mins untll uniformity achieved.
  • To ensure thorough mixing pour materials into another container and mix again to achieve a consistent mix.
  • Avoid air entrainment. Use spiked rollers to avoid pinholes in topcoat.
  • For the preparation of mortars use a forced action mixer of rotating pan, paddle or trough type. Free fall mixers should not be used.
  • For self leveling screed, mix thoroughly using a low speed electric stirrer (300 – 400 rpm) or other suitable equipment.
  • During the mixing operation, scrape down the sides and bottom of the container with a flat or straight edge trowel at least once to ensure complete mixing
  • Continuous, pore free coat should covers the substrate.
  • For self leveling, screed is poured, spread evenly by means of a serrated trowel.
  • Roll immediately in two directions with a spiked roller to ensure even thickness and to remove entrapped air.
  • Screed should be applied on tacky primer only.

Physical Properties:

Compressive strength – 69 N/mm²(14 days/+27°C)
Flexural strength – 34 N/mm²(14 days/+27°C)
Bond strength – Concrete failure
Absorption – Resist to all mind chemicals

Consumption

Heavy duty floor screed: -5.6 Kg/m² for 3 mm thickness
Self leveling screed: – 12-1.5 kg/m² for 2 mm thickness
Note:These figure are theoretical and do not allow for additional material required due to surface porosity. Surface profile, variations in level or wastage etc. Use of silica sand as per applicator’s description.

Mixing Ratio:

Heavy duty floor screed:- Part A:Part B: filler=2:1:6-10 by weight
Self leveling screed:Part A:Part B: filler=2:1:3-6 by weight
